Setting off from our logistics base, in the area near the Alcantara Gorges, after a briefing about driving the buggies, we’ll travel along scenic roads towards Motta Camastra.
After about an hour and a half’s drive, we’ll reach Montagna Grande’s summit, where you’ll be able to admire the spectacular views stretching out as far as the Aeolian islands and the Calabrian and Ionian sea coast, besides the entire stretch of the Alcantara river from its source to its mouth. On the way back, we’ll stop in Motta Camastra, a town perched on top of a rocky hill. It will be possible to visit the old town and the narrow medieval streets.
Note: on request, it’s possible to stop for a Sicilian style lunch in an agriturismo/country restaurant.
